4. 47 stinkin' years, and one playoff win in that tiime.
Been a fan since 1962. Sorry, Giants and other fans. We "win." It will never change. Generations will come and go. Other teams will rise, fall and rise again. And the Lions will always be the same stinking losers.

9. The curse of Bill Ford, the Coach Killer
Guess who has owned the team the last 40 years? And guess who has seen the many coaches during that time, hired and fired, NEVER go on to be head coach again of any NFL team? Harry Gilmer, Rick Forzano, Tommy Hudspeth, Darryl Rogers, Monte Clark, Wayne Fontes and the immortal Marty Morningwheg. Others I am forgetting; only Joe Schmidt did a decent job, in 1970. Congrats, Steve Mariucci. You have ended what otherwise would have been a great career. And General Managers? Another immortal, Russ Thomas; Chuck Schmidt and now, Matt Millen, who wouldn't recognize talent if it fell on him. Sorry. As Bush consolidates his dictatorship in the coming year, may as well vent about bread and circuses.

10. I'm right with you about Ford, My man
If I had the cash, I'd buy the team and the spend money where it needs to be spent.

5. Hey, I'm from New Orleans
and I think it's too bad we can't play the Giants EVERY week!

Forgive me, but as a Saints fan I don't often get the opportunity to gloat ;-)

In fairness, DH did say the Giants came into the game with a lot of injuries. Don't sweat it. At least y'all have won the SuperBowl before. Saints have never even won a second round playoff game.

6. I'm just praying they don't hire Tom Coughlin
I can't stand that guy (although he might bring some discipline to this team).

I'm hoping for Dennis Green.

8. I love Harrington
I dunno, I think JoeyH is gonna take you places in the next decade. If you get a defense and a running game.

Lord knows it'll be Stoopes. Great coach, but in NYC? This'll be Ray Handley all over again.

15. Feh!
Minnesota Vikings = biggest embarrassment to the NFL, hands down! Lost four superbowls, we blow it every season, and we act like we don't know how to play football half the time!

16. The entire legacy of the Vikings can be summed up with...
Cunningham taking a knee at the half of the NFC Championship game, 1998.
That was the beginning of the end.
Three months until Spring Training...

18. I'm playing a tiny violin.. .
What's with the Vikings fans? I'm with MrScorpio. You guys have a much better history than the Lions the last 40+ years, and you know it. I still have nightmares of Fran Tarkenton and Chuck Foreman tearing the Lions a new one year after year after year. Geez. Admit it. We stink worse than you do. Please allow us that small semblence of pride(?).

20. Ok...okkk..
you can have the title of the "Worst Team Ever in the NFL." I won't take away your pride. :)

But, as good a team the Vikings are, we should've won some of those major games.

21. Well, we can agree on this - the Giants fans are worse whiners
Excuse me, but I do believe they have won the Super Bowl more recently than the Vikings or Lions. What's that? The Vikings lost all four, and the Lions have never even come close to getting there? I will admit this - the Giants do stink this year. Can you imagine a worse game than Lions-Giants? Loser gets the Redskins! (Take that, Dan Snyder, you pompous twit).

22. Cowboy fan here, and I'm shocked at the Giants' plunge
Granted, they have a lot of injuries. But my God, they looked so bad last night. It's a shame, I have liked Fassil. I really thought they would be a wild-card team, losing the division to Philly.

If Dallas loses to New York next week, the Cowboys will be a disgrace.
