My daughter called me at work today
& asked if I had a minute to hear something. When I said yes, I heard whoosh, whoosh & thumpthumpthumpthump, my grandbaby's heartbeat! I've never heard anything so wonderful (since I heard her heartbeat).

I'm still getting used to the idea. She's going to be a great mom.

8. Grandbabies are the best...mine are 10 and 11 now, so no longer babies
but they'll always be my babies anyhow! Hope all goes well with her pregnancy and delivery, and that she has a healthy, happy baby!

7. I can't wait to be the "bad gradma"
You know, provide all those noisy toys kids love & parents hate. I will also be the book grandma.

10. Good for you! Books rock..."The Little Brute Family" is my all-time
fave kids' book...it's out of print now, but you can get a new paperback copy for about $3 on Amazon It's by the same author who wrote the Frances books (the little badger and the tea set one...)
