I'm eating a slice of cheesecake right now.

And I guess I'm bored, also.

1. It is not!
It's a cake that's been corrupted by the Keebler elves.

28. Me personally? No, but I suppose one could.
I'd use a springform pan.

But, Alton Brown says it's a custard pie, and I'm with him. :)

Cheese cakes are normally made using spring-form pans.

20. I'll bring it with me tomorrow
It's easy to make, though, but you need an electric hand mixer.

9. The Phrase "Cheese Pie" Sounds Like It Would Have Cheez-Wiz Filling.
Or something that was made from cheddar cheese or American cheese. Ick!

It's not a cake, either, but IMO it's more cake than pie.

14. Because the pie is a short-cut...
Cheesecake is cake...baked and then taken out of the pan...and it's the best thing ever...

Well, almost.

16. It depends.
The best ones I have had (or made) have been made using springform pans and they are higher so they are indeed cakes rather than pies. (Though I will eat either kind!)

23. Because, at the time of its naming, the creator foresaw
the movie "American Pie" and didn't want his confectionery creation to be misconstrued with something utterly vulgar?
