I prefer classic horror (you know, ghosts, witches, vampires instead of strange "forces")

Any suggestions?

1. Ever Read Anne Rice's "Blood and Gold"?
Hands down her best one in the Vampire Chronicles. Better than Lestat. Better than Interview.

3. Anything by Stephen King or Dean Koontz
could be classified as good (not good, but great) horror novels. I just began reading "The Resort," by Bentley Little. He is highly praised by Stephen King.

5. Bentley Little is good
but The Resort is one of his lesser efforts (although I did still enjoy it). Try The House or Dispatch for the full Little effect.

7. "House Of Leaves" by Mark Z. Danielewski
Unconventional, but creepy as hell.
