I'm so sick of being kept poor just trying to live
When I was at my other job in another town, I barely made enough to survive. Mynew job pays twice as much an hour, but I work less. So, basically I make the same amount. I'm still scraping by. I've work a TON in the last month so my last paycheque was big. I had a bunch left over after paying off bills. I was so excited cause that was money that I would have in my account while I got another big paycheque. So then I'd actually have the start of a savings account.
But today, in an attempt to be honest, I went and changed my car insurance address. And I was told I owed three hundred bucks in points.
I had no idea that if you got more than one speeding ticket in a 12 month period you had to pay the additional in points. As a model driver who never had tickets before, this was something I never had to deal with.
Now, I paid off the fines last year... but the points weren't added until my last birthday. That way they became a nice surprise for me.
But that, combined with student loan payments and MSP...
I'm just so fucking tired of being kept poor by my own government.
