What are you listening to?
It's been that sort of afternoon round here - so I'm onto Siegfried by Wagner. What's everybody else got on?

7. Yeah, probably...
Which is why it's more and more difficult to get record labels to send review copies -- because some of my journalistic brethren are unethical enough to sell their advance copies on eBay. :grr:

indeed 15 April 1912 still springs to mind as the date on which she sank.

National Geographic tend to have decent quality documentaries if they're about a topic one finds interesting.

20. The Gap Band ~ You Dropped A BOMB On Me.....

You were the girl that changed my world
You were the girl for me
You lit the fuse, I stand accused
You were the first for me
But you turned me out, baby

You dropped a bomb on me, baby
You dropped a bomb on me (But you turned me on, baby)
You dropped a bomb on me, baby
You dropped a bomb on me

You were my thrills, you were my pills
You dropped a bomb on me
You turn me out, you turn me on
You turned me loose, then you turned me wrong

You dropped a bomb on me, baby
You dropped a bomb on me (But you turned me out, baby)
You dropped a bomb on me, baby
You dropped a bomb on me

Just like Adam and Eve, said you’d set me free
You took me to the sky, I’d never been so high
You were my pills, you were my thrills
You were my hope, baby, you were my smoke
You dropped a bomb, hey, babe

You dropped a bomb on me, baby
You dropped a bomb on me (But you turned me out, baby)
You dropped a bomb on me, baby
You dropped a bomb on me (But you turned me on, baby)

You dropped a bomb on me, baby (Mmm)
You dropped a bomb on me (You dropped a bomb on me, baby)
You dropped a bomb on me, baby
You dropped a bomb on me

We were in motion, felt like an ocean
You were the girl for me
You were the first explosion, turned out to be corrosion
You were the first for me
But you turned me out, baby

You dropped a bomb on me, baby
You dropped a bomb on me (Whoa...whoa...oh...oh...baby)
You dropped a bomb on me, baby
You dropped a bomb on me (I won’t forget what you done to me, babe)

You dropped a bomb on me, baby
You dropped a bomb on me
You dropped a bomb on me, baby
You dropped a bomb on me

I-I-I
I-I-I won’t forget it
I-I-I
I-I-I won’t forget it

You dropped a bomb on me, baby
You dropped a bomb on me
You dropped a bomb on me, baby
You dropped a bomb on me

I-I-I
I-I-I won’t forget it
I-I-I
I-I-I won’t forget it

You turned me out, you turned me on
And then you dropped me to the ground
You dropped a bomb on me.

You turned me out, you turned me on
And then you dropped me to the ground
You dropped a bomb on me
You turned me out, you turned me on
And then you dropped me to the ground
You dropped a bomb on me

You turned me out, then you turned me on
You dropped a bomb on me
You turned me out, then you turned me on
You dropped a bomb on me

You turned me out, then you turned me on
You dropped a bomb on me
You turned me out, then you turned me on
You dropped a bomb on me

You turned me out, then you turned me on
You dropped a bomb on me
You turned me out, then you turned me on
You dropped a bomb on me

You turned me out, then you turned me on
You dropped a bomb on me
You turned me out, then you turned me on
You dropped a bomb on me

37. In some ways when it comes to facing death
He was like a role model. I know it may sound weird, but he knew he was dying, and he made an album. He was on his last legs, so to speak, and he made a video. And God, his voice, what a gift. He is on that list of people who were taken before I would have liked. Not that my opinion on such weighs hardly at all, but still. I miss knowing he is a creative force in the world.

the TV and computer motor today. But yesterday I heard:

Guster - Ganging Up on the Sun
Susan Cagle - The Subway Recordings
Camera Obscura - Let's Get out of This Country

These are all three of the best albums of 2006. I gave Susan Cagle 4 stars like the other two, and I think the subway enviornment is a good way for a new artist like Susan to gain credibility and exposure. But I'm anxious for a studio album from Susan, where the arrangements can be clearer and more fully realized. She has a terrific sound going on!

... a wonderful post-punk band from the late 70s. I forgot how great this stuff is (if you like this sort of stuff, it's not for everybody :).

Have "Secondhand Daylight" and "The Correct Use of Soap" in heavy MusicMatch rotation.

Barry Adamson's bass is simply incredible, and the late John McGeoch's guitar also. One of a kind stuff!!!
