How about a bald eagle?

(It's early, but may I be the first to wish YOU a SPARKLING and WONDERFUL holiday!) In peace, Radio_Lady in Oregon

4. A hat, of course
I can't imagine a sunburn on the scalp would be very pleasant.

7. Hubby should wear them in summer, but he says it's too hot.
Lots of sunscreen on the bald pate and hope for the best. We're both dark skinned and dark eyed, and so far, no skin cancer.

I wore his hat in London in May 2006!

9. Something like a panama hat should be bearable in summer...
the straw is light and breathable enough that it's not HOT, and they always look sharp, too...and Kangol's 'Ventair' or 'tropic weave' caps aren't bad in summer, either, in my experience.

And that cap looks like you stole it from Marlon Brando in The Wild Bunch...très butch... :D
