Good Tuesday Morning, Crew!

Welcome to the Tuesday edition of the Early Morning Crew thread! :bounce: It's nice to have you here with me! I hope yesterday wasn't too "monday like" for you and you had a good day. It was my last day of vacation and I spent it relaxing and reading, so it was a nice day for me!

And so now...back to the old grind. I wish I had nine MORE days off, but, as the old saying goes; "All good things must come to an end." The cool thing is, after the 8th of July, I'll have another 2 weeks vacation available to me! I see another vacation coming up! :bounce::woohoo:

Here's the latest Early Morning Crew stats:

56 - Number of Current Early Morning Crew Members
128 - Average number of responces to the Good Morning thread
22 - Number of "missing" early morning crew members (those who haven't posted in over a month)

Interesting, huh? Where ARE the missing people?

And so with that, let's get this day started, shall we? Time to rise and shine, my crew! :bounce:

Hello, MissHoneychurch! :hi: How are you? I have had a very wonderful last 24 hours, even though I was at work for part of that time. I swam this morning and then I went and had Ethiopian coffee and the gooiest coffeecake muffin I have ever run across. :9 Brown sugar and cinnamon are a particular weakness of mine. I think I will have to prepare you a treat when you come through Virginia.

Yes, I really miss him. I try my best to get a job in London as soon as possible. I found a company that helps finding library positions in the U.K. I emailed them my CV yesterday and they replied today. I have to answer some more questions I will do when I get home tonight. I hope they are able to help me.

120. I think that's wise
to use a job-search company. They'll be able to keep track of library positions much better than you can, considering the distance. Additionally, some places only use these types of businesses for employee searches, so that's a another plus for you too. As always, wishing you good luck on your job search. I hope it goes fast.

You know at the moment I am in a mood where I want to leave Germany behind me. I am tired of my recent life. I want new experiences in all situations. Jobwise and in my private life.

I can tell that I am not too happy these days as my face is breaking out it isn't nice anymore. Depending on my mood and food (and some other stuff) my face can look like I am still 17 years old (thank goodness for makeup).

136. I think we all go
through those times, when it seems nothing we do is self-satisfying and we get very reflective. It's really good to re-evaluate one's life. I get that way from time to time, and sometimes it makes me sad, and other times I'm glad I'm at the place I'm at, personally and professionally. Wish there could be a balance.

Sorry to say this, but I've gotta get heading out to work. You just hang in there. I'll be sending you energizing vibes. And hope your spirits rise.

23. Protested against "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" at West Point.
I did it with the organization Soulforce, which is against religious and political persecution against GLBT people.

Anyway, so I chose to be arrested at the action. Soulforce will pay any fines (we have the same lawyer at Martin Sheen) and it's unlikely that we'll be given any jailtime. I think what I'm officially charged with is "trespassing on a military installation for an unlawful purpose." It's sad that the organization recieved a warmer welcome at the hands of Jerry Falwell than at the hands of our own government. It's also sad that I was treated better by MPs than I was getting by townie cops getting arrested over a couple parking tickets last year.

You can see my pictures there. The group was on the cover of Advocate magazine for it. Oddly enough, this fall, continuing the protest, I'll be attempting to sign up for the army as a lesbian. The organization is founded on the words of MLK and Gandhi, so it's pacifistic, but "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" is not only discriminatory, but it has cost the taxpayers of this nation about $364million. Talk about a waste of taxpayers dollars.

I came into the Lounge just now and the two top threads were Jara Sang's "I'm Totally Naked" and your "Good Tuesday Morning Crew". What a choice :dilemma:. I finally chose to click on yours first so here I am. :bounce:

Wow, you actually take the time to count all of that stuff up? You have more patience than I do.

"With Or Without You" by U2. I love that song (as I do many of their songs). It's such a relaxing song--very even beat and soothing music.

U2 has been one of my favorites since I began college way back in the age of the dinosaurs. Our college radio station played them quite a bit so I came to enjoy their music and I've been a fan ever since.

Yesterday was busy. I finished painting the ceiling in the kitchen, got some paperwork done, and met with the builder. Today I'm going to see if I can find the place to get my TN driver's license. Never a dull moment around here. "My" horses came back home last night at around 1:30 AM, but I don't see them out in the pasture ... maybe they don't like standing in the rain.

Thank you, thank you! I hope it's a good one today too. Yes, your day was MUCH busier than mine, seeing as how I sat on my butt all day and read! Oh, I took dinner over to Greekspeak at FSU (he's working on his Doctorate you know) and we sat down and ate together, but that's ALL I did. Hey, if I were a horse, I wouldn't like to stand out in the rain!

I bet Greekspeak appreciated that! Very sweet of you. :loveya: Yeah, I knew he's working on his Doctorate. When will he be done?

I wouldn't like to stand out in the rain even if I weren't a horse! And it sure doesn't make me want to go anywhere today. It has rained for three days in a row. :(

47. I LOVE to read.
I read every day on my lunch break at work, I read when I have a day off, and I read every night before I go to bed. Greekspeak is studying for his comps right now, and after that he starts working on his Doctoral Thesis. It'll take him several years to do that, so he's got a while.

I had to remind him that we already have 25 boxes of books, so maybe he should go to the library if he needs some more. He agreed. :D

Oh, a long road ahead still for Greekspeak. Well, like harleydad always says, the time will go by anyway ... might as well have something to show for it. (He always says that then the girls whine about something taking too long.)

I'm sneezing my brains out today. :( All that rain ...

Between all of mine and all of Greekspeaks school books (he has to keep them all), we have a whole house full, so I know how you feel. Sorry to hear you're sneezing so much! I wonder why the rain is doing that to you? One would think the rain would make all the pollen and dust settle and you wouldn't be sneezing at all.

73. Oh, that's an easy one ...
I'm allergic to mold. Rain always makes the mold grow and makes me feel pretty crummy. I'm not allergic to pollen at all, though, so the rain doesn't help with that. And the only dust I'm allergic to is house dust. Rain doesn't help with that, either. Just one o' those things. If I were in my new house, I'd go sit in the sauna (it'll be a dry sauna).

We still have most of our school books, too ... and we finished school a hundred years ago. We did finally get rid of some computer books, though. They're not good for very long.

Yes, the mold thing is a major irritant, even for ME who has no allergies whatsoever. I bet you can't WAIT for that sauna, huh? It sounds wonderful! No, the computer books can go shortly after they're written. I wouldn't keep those either.

95. You've got that right!
Can't wait for the sauna, the totally clean house, the whole works! Oh, and we told the builder that we eventually want a gazebo near the woods, and he said it would be dirt cheap to have his guys pour the slab for it now, rather than waiting until we're "ready" to do it. I'm pretty excited about that.

I really do have to go and lie down for a bit longer before I can get started. Hope you have a great day today and I'll see you in the morning. :loveya:  :hi:

Yes, your Good Morning thread is getting very popular. By the time I read all the posts it's almost time for me to head out of here to work.

My Monday was good, for a Monday that is. Did nothing special, but I've got another project that I'll be starting on Wednesday. Then the stress level will start to rise.

I know how you feel about going back to work after such a nice long time off. Geez, I felt like that after a three-day weekend.
