UGH. I know World Cup isn't everyone's favorite here in the states. That's not my fault. Apparently these announcers think that we all want to hear their bs. NOT SO. I want you to shut up, commentate the game and quit inserting your own bullshit! I hate American TV Sports.

When just the opposite is true. They were very ANTI England. And I love England. And did anyone else see the portugal/Netherlands game? That was fun, and there were way too many yellow cards. OMG!

You could have the sycophantic fool John Motson (BBC) commentating. He seems awed by some of the top England players at times, talking about them as if they were demi-gods.

At least with the BBC commentary there's an option available to digital viewers to switch to (vastly superior) radio commentary or just the crowd instead of listening to the never ending stream of crap that Motson spews.

6. Tommy Smith the Irishman is cool ...

I enjoy his commentating.

In the last World Cup, he was paired with John Dellacamera, and I thought they did a good job. I actually savored their call of the game(s).

7. ABC soccer announces do suck, as did the US team.

They should have just kept it on ESPN.

Those sorry asses only kicked one goal the entire tournament, not including that Italian giveaway. Those bozos could have very easily been shut out twice!

But, the US was getting ready to show everybody what's up after warming up those 3 games. They're probably still waiting for game 4.

9. Aussie commentary, almost neutral.

Except when Aussies are playing someone, but it is subliminal, and they SHUT UP MOST OF THE TIME. Which I think is awesome. A sentence per 30 seconds. Wonderful.
