My cat just had to be put down.

It's been a long road- these last 2 weeks.

He just had too many problems-advanced diseases that all flared up after his blood sugar went way out of wack a couple of weeks ago and he went into Diabetic Ketoacidosis...

Perhaps there was some cancer there too- we'll never know. He was the best cat. Lapcat, sweet as can be.

My cat has been living with cancer/tumors for over 2 years now. I am always amazed that he is still going strong. I know the day you have experienced will come to me soon either with the tumor taking over or the steroids causing him problems.

It's hard to understand the pain of losing a pet if you've never had one. I'm sorry for your loss.

My Aunt Michelle actually called me last night to tell me that her beloved Gizmo had to be put down yesterday. Giz was 15 years old and had developed cancer. He was the friendliest kitty I ever met. He used to sit on my lap and while I scratched behind his ears, he would drool! After he jumped off me, my lap would be soaking wet!

I can understand your loss. Kitties are wonderful pets. If it weren't for the fact that I travel so much for my career, I would have a house full of felines!
