Weird food combinations II
Every now and then I like putting HP or Heinz 57 on creamed cottage cheese. Yum.

8. Have you ever had English 'spicy brown' sauce???
Not that I have been there, but a friend brought me a bottle of 'brown sauce' from London; it tasted like a combo of Worchestershire and A-1. He said that it was on every cafe table in the city. REALLY good on potatoes, especially fries, along with ketchup.

10. No, I haven't. But spicy brown sauce sounds GOOD
Wrochestershire and A1...what a great combo.

It'd be nice if it could be imported over here.

5. When we were children, my brothers used to conduct something
they called "The Most Disgusting Plate Arrangement Contest." To claim the prize, participants had to completely consume their entry.

Taste, restraint and good judgement prevent me from discussing some of the winning entries, but one of the more unusual submissions was chili a la mode, - and I have to admit, it wasn't too bad.

Also, in New England (maybe it's a regional thing), cream cheese and grape jelly sandwich. Not bad.

19. When I was a kid, my favorite meal was cottage cheese and noodles
My mother boiled the fine, tiny egg noodles until they were cooked, then melted butter in a frying pan, added the noodles, salt and pepper, then cottage cheese until the whole thing was heated through. It still is my favorite comfort food. Actually, I could go for some about now...:-)
