My friend, Tomo. 1988-2006.
Sorry if I seem depressed.

Someone I used to know just died this morning.

Knew them from different occasions... met them at my friends birthday parties, when I was wandering around my little town.

She was sweet, with a loving disposition. She would really give you the shirt of her back (Really did, once).

 A beautiful poet with a mind for art.

2. I am so sorry for your loss.
It is a hard thing to lose some one at your age. You're so full of life, it seems impossible that death could come to one so close. Live your life to its fullest. And remember her.

5. The weird thing is... is that she really wasn't that close to me.
I only met her three times (four at the most) but she left such an impression on me...

AIDs took her.

Wasn't gay.

Her mother gave it to her.

her mom died shortly after Tomo was born.

20. Hugs back, RL.
It's strange.

The good die young. She really could have changed the world. She was a one of a kind artist. I saw a watercolor by her once. It was so beautiful, happy and sad, joyous and tragic at the same time...

It's hard to lose someone at any age -- we never get used to it and, even if we expect/suspect that it's coming, it's still unexpected.

But at 18...it's almost unfathomable.

I wish I had some magic words that would help. Some special combination of letters that would ease the pain but...it will get better. And as long as you remember her, she'll always be here.

Always.

23. The sad thing is... is that, we knew she was going to go soon.
The doctors didn't expect her to live much past 10 (She had AIDS... just like her mom had) and the last two years of her life... she had withered away to nothing.

But even though she was only skin and bones... she had enough life to fill a room.

31. By the time she died...
she was horribly thin... She hated her body, which looked like that of a four year old in terms of development.

her hair had begun fall out... she was in constant pain...

 for you, and for Tomo.

She often joked that she had a donkey on her foot... because that's what she used to kick some repub ass.
