Saturday evening, I enter to a rousing cry of "Aly! Aly!" Quickly followed by "Look what I got! No look what i got! See what I can do? Hey lookit this!"

Four little hands pull me onto the couch and beg and plead that I join a round of Mario Kart. Then I am dazzled by young boychilds talent in Super Mario Sunshine.

After, I'm tugged to the bedroom where I simultaneously help with a peter pan puzzle and play transformers. Then a rousing game of tickle fight, pile-on, and human jungle gym, followed by story time and a tooth brushing marathon.

Tuck-ins and hugs.

Perfect date.

18. The best times

My daughter and I used to build a fort out of the dining chairs and blankets. We'd have one opening to see the tv to watch the movie of the night and have our sleeping bags and popcorn ready. Her father was gone alot and I'm glad I had those times with her.
