I feel sick. What year is it again?

Kindly remind me that vandalism is a bad idea, not to mention illegal. I'm trying my best to put out of my mind all the places between here and there where I could buy spray paint. (Just kidding, Agent Mike!)

1. Vandalism is fun, resistance is good, and if Agent Mike gives you trouble,

introduce him to Agent Orange.

2. Here's some jackassy logic for you.
Patriot - one whom would die for his country
Southern Patriot - someone that pines for the days when they tried to rebel against the country

Something just doesn't make sense here...

6. Confederate Timewarp would be more accurate, but it sounds like a headshop
Doofus Cretin Numbnuts Shitboxes R Us would be more accurate still, but I have a feeling they wouldn't go for that one.

I should stress that Columbia is a very nice, fairly enlightened town and even Cayce and Lexington County, though the latter is highly Republican (and the former, being located there, is swept along even though mostly Democratic) are not exactly Klan strongholds. These numbnuts just located there because it's handy to two interstates and centrally located so that all the sheet-wearers can find it. Similarly, the rebel flag on the state house grounds (and formerly on the dome's flagpole) is a result of yahoos from the sticks agitating for it; the very great majority of Columbians, including the mayor, want it down.

3. I guess it's better that these people have this store...
to entertain themselves until they die, than wandering the streets or trying to do something in the country that might affect me (like run for Congress).

4. Where do you think they get funding for something like that?

5. It really can't cost that much.
I mean, this part of the article made me giggle:

Josh Sutter is not the only Aryan Nations enthusiast to live in the Cayce area. In May, the group's "national director" August Kreis moved its "world headquarters" from Sebring, Fla., to a doublewide trailer in semi-rural Lexington, roughly 15 miles from the Southern Patriot Shop. Kreis purchased his trailer and the land it sits on for $24,000.

You couldn't buy a stop sign in Chicago for $24,000.

You couldn't buy a fire hydrant! :)

7. Not speaking for Vash, but I believe he meant that the store is for
raising money for such things as running for Congress. My own hope is that they aren't breaking even.

So nice to hear that the Aryan Nations are coming to live here. Goes well with the fundamentalist dingbats intent on moving here and seceding. Wheeee!
