20. Sadly, so have most of the scripts,
A friend of mine theorized recently the reason TNT stopped showing the first few seasons in syndication was so no one would notice how bad the recent seasons have been.

Of course, if he is purposefully giving a bad performance, that would make it good by virtue of it's being deliberate...:D

Titanic has to be one of the worst famous movies ever made.

Although I loved Branaugh's Hamlet, Ms. Winslet was a downer. She even made Charlton Heston, senile old freak, look good by comparison.

110. That's a pretty rock-solid list.
Thus far I haven't seen Cooper or Crowe put a foot wrong.

And Lili Taylor is one of the great unsung treasures of American actors. She and Steve Buscemi are more or less Ms. and Mr. Indie, showing up in everything and doing a great job.

I'd also have to mention, among contemporary actors, Brian Cox, Judy Davis, Daniel Day Lewis (truly a revelation), and Laura Linney.

Among actors of the past, I'd mention Thelma Ritter and John Garfield.

According to every conservative I know, hes "not that stupid" and just acts stupid in order to appeal to voters.

Well, if that's true, give him not just an Oscar, but a Lifetime Achievement award.

I've never seen him play the character poorly, and I've never seen him out of character.

73. Kenneth Branagh & Cary Grant
Kenneth Branagh's been a breathtakingly superb actor in the half dozen or so films I've seen him in.

Grant, well... what can one say about Grant that won't sound like an homage.

YouTubeans seem to be taken with Mr. Rickman as well:

I only looked at the first page of search results and didn't actually follow any links; got a kick out of the Not Alan Rickman song, though.

107. Robert Duvall
From "The Godfather", to "Apocolypse Now", to "Tender Mercies" to "Deep Impact", he's given masterful performances. Although he won a Oscar for "Tender Mercies", I still feel his best ever performance was in "The Great Santini". The mushroom soup incident in the opening scene was one of the screen classics.
