George Steinbrenner, fuck you, you're FIRED!!!!
My very first baseball memory was enjoying the sight of Reggie jackson smack those hme runs way back in 1976, so I've always cheered on the Yankees..but NOW? After that fuckhead Steinbrenner totally disrespected And Pettitte--who only won more games in the postseason and saved the Yankees more than once during his 9 year career in pinstripes--and THEN, THEN has this so called backup plan with..Kevin Brown?! A 39 year old, moody, loner, often on the dl pitcher replacing a 31 year old lefty with great stats and big time game xperience?
Gimme a fucking break!!! :argh:

I'm so damn mad at Steinbrenner right now, if I see his face on my tv anytime soon, I might just throw my remote at his ugly ass face! :argh: Man, this totally, absoultely SUCKS!!!

And the worst part of all? I'll have to go against every fibe rin my being, and start cheering for--and buying ew ear from--the Boston Red Sox :puke: George Steinbrenner, fuck you, you're FIRED!!!

1. I think a lot of Yankees fans are thinking this right now
Steinbrenner should've done everything he could to keep Pettite on the team - the guy may not be an ace, but he's still a damn good pitcher, and one of the best clutch pitchers to ever play the game.

This team is starting to resemble the teams from the 1980's - just sign every free agent you can and not worry about growing your own talent anymore.

4. Kevin Brown Spin was priceless
I heard one NY radio personality say that "the Yankees werent interested in committing that fourth year to Pettite, they felt he was getting past his prime." so they signed the most unreliable big money 38 year old pitcher out there?

ZechMarquis. You are welcome in Red Sox Nation anytime.

6. I sympathize
with you. As a Cubs fan, I have seen management let so many good players go. At least Pettite is now in the NL. :)

7. I may just go back to the Red Sox, too . ..
I followed them for 15 years when I lived in New England, but became a Yankee fan around '96 when I moved to New York. They had a great team then, and were playing the game the way it should be played. Now it seems the King George is back to his old self, paying huge prices for aging players while shipping all of his young talent hither and yon. He didn't even give Pettitte the courtesy of a personal phone call to keep him in pinstripes, so Andy decided to tell George to stuff it and go elsewhere. George won't listen to his baseball people, which means it's likely going to be a long season for the Yanks next year. Rootin' for the Sox is looking more and more attractive every day.
