The pros and cons of smokin a big fat doobie . . .
... and sippin a glass of single malt scotch on the last day of my life.

I'm not dying, I don't have any whiskey on hand, and I haven't dished out 10 bucks for a dime bag since my freshman year of college.

However, I just celebrated 20 years of clean living and sobriety - June 13, 1986 - and having a momentary hypothetical what-if.

Place and time would matter. If my wife and kids were with me, I'd spend the whole day on a picnic by the lake, kids crawlin on my head and playing yard games. If it was just my wife - in bed half the day and walking in the mountains the rest.

All alone in a room, cell, or isolated place - a joint and shot might be nice...

Just random thoughts on a sobriety birthday...
