Dog Parks and Gyms: Legitimate, or just pickup joints?
I see the ostensible purposes of both dog parks and gyms as a mere cover for their actual main purpose, i.e. being a pickup joint. If you weren't "on the make" you could just exercise at home and walk your dog on the street. Am I right?

1. Oh no. I sent my dog to the gym and I was crapping on the neighbor's lawn.
Your way makes more sense.

2. People only buy dogs because they want sex.
And people only go to the gym because they want sex.

Really, everything we ever do can be traced back to sex, can't it?

10. Plenty of them all over the U.S.
I just wish one was near me. The best is in Fort Lauderdale, and it's called Bark Park.

12. One in Cedar Falls Iowa!
Rownd Park. Near the intersection of South Main Street Road and south of the Highway 58 overpass (17 acres) Linear Park. Facilities: recreation trail, open space, Cedar Prairie Trail access, 3.0 acre fenced "Paw Park" dog exercise area with shelter, restroom and drinking water is located in the southern portion of the park. The land was donated to the Iowa State Normal School now known as the University of Northern Iowa by the Rownd family and was originally the UNI golf course. Acquired in 1995. Backing up to a residential area, this Park serves as a passive tract of land where a branch of the recreation trail winds along the south side of Dry Run Creek to connect to the main trail at the creek bridge. TRAIL HEAD with limited parking.

15. I take my dog to the dog park because she loves to run around off the
leash. I can't let her off the leash on the street. I chat a bit with the other people there, but I've never seen it as a pickup joint. Many, if not most, of the people are married with kids and everything.
