Yay! (Anime) Toys!
I'm such a dork, I love to collect anime/videogame figures. The imported ones (as most of the ones I have are) are usually really high quality compared to most of the anime toys made over here.

Most of mine came in 'mystery boxes,' that is, you don't know which figure it'll be until you open it. You get a kind of adrenaline rush opening it, hoping you get your favorite.

Gods, I'm such a dork XD

1. Capsule Toys of game figures for me
I have a massive collection of video game charate capsule toys form Japan (I lived there and return each summer)--actually, I think my collection tops 200 now. It's odd the number of times I've come home and found that my wife has accidentally lost/misplaced/broke/disassembledandputinashoebox my stuff.

2. Some of my things are capsole toys
I wish the stuff you found in American capsule things were so nice.

Have you seen the cute little blocky 8-bit toys?

3. Yeah
I specialize in the really detailed capsule figures though--highlights of my collection include Taki from Soul Calibur, a few limited edition Morrigans, and the complete set of Super-Deformed Street Fighter characters. My wife keeps tryingt o make me post this stuff on Ebay, but I just keep adding to the collection each year on my return to Japan (leave this Thursday, actually).

7. I have no idea
if what I have is rare or valuble or anything, but I have a few favorites (Turk!Vincent from Final Fantasy 7's a current favorite, as is SD Syaoran from Tsubasa Chronicle). All of them have stories of where I got them (most are from anime cons, as I don't have the resources to go to Japan at this point in time) or who got them for me.

Needless to say, my mom thinks I'm crazy :D

10. Sweet...
I'm a toy collector myself, but my area is marvel/dc comic book heroes, Gi Joe's, transformers, heman, and a few others, like star wars, and anything that looks sweet...

My big thing, is superman toys, and since the new superman movie is due out in a couple of weeks, i have been saturated with superman merchandise, and I'm feeling fine!...:)

My office, is covered, with comic book stuff, toys, and anything i can pin to a wall, and yes i'm a dork too...

Are also DC/ Marvel, but up till recently, have gone nuts buying anime characters...Ghost in the Shell,
Final Fantasy, Cowboy Bebop, Kill Bill, ok...I guess I have to show this, cause no one will believe it. Let me get out the cam!!

Some of those shelves are deep,so a lot of them can not be seen. This is only one room. I have one other room filled with this stuff. Its amazing how many I have. Obsessed? Slightly. heh The books are comic books and there are DVDs plus CDs there as well.
Funny, the middle set of shelves...center shelf is all
Female Superheros...didn't think there were so many!!! You can't see it, but the first set of shelves
very top is a huge collection of Godzilla's and monsters from Godzilla.

15. I understand the
money aspect of collecting...If i sat and tried tabulating, how much money i spent on comics/toys, the total money amount, would probably be enough to give me a headache...:) But, its my thing...i'm also an avid collector/player of magic the gathering. I use to be into d and d, and whitewolf gaming systems, but since I'm not around anyone that is into it, i have tapered off on role playing games a bunch...

I got started Collecting Rage cards before they changed it...those are all in storage now..and I have to get them back!! But yeah, it was only natural to collect comic books, toys and later movies and anime. I Love this stuff... that plus I have a few Real Japanese swords...not toy stuff, I am talking the sharp kind that you have to be careful with or you can cut a hand off accidently.

I could never leave mine in boxes..I had to have them out ...so in case I got some wild hair
to start a huge massive battle, I could do that. Infact, one of my shelves is a battle in progress, complete with samurai, ninja, teenage mutant turtles, and god knows what else...I love setting up battle scenes..its fun.

22. yeah, a few of them are in boxes
If i was rich, i would buy three of each, one to open, one to pin up, and one to sell/trade. I have bought doubles of some, so I could open them up. The DC Superheroes line of toys, are awesome, they have 8 inch posable toys, and I had to buy two of each. Hands down the best superman toy, as far as look/posability goes, i got from the DC Superheroes line.

I got three boxes of toys, to put up, but I dont have shelves for them yet, I got a bunch...including TMNT, in one of the pics of mine, you should be able to see Leonardo...:) Plus, I got a lot of toys in my living room, but essentially, i'm going to have them all put up on shelves, or pinned up, all in the same room...i'm just a big damn kid, i tell ya!...:) The ones, that you don't see, are the 30inch Batman Begins toy, and the 30 inch superman returns toy(that i just got days ago)...the look of the room, is a lot different now...i should take some more recent pics tomorrow, and post them up...

If money wasn't an issue, i would have those clear glass cases, and put all my toys in there, much like how most collectors toy stores, have there set up for exhibition...:)

28. lots of anime stuff...
all of my brothers, are huge, HUGE into anime. I liked anime, but for me, it was finding good anime, to get into. I tried, finding good movies/cartoons, but I spent most of my time, renting dumbass ones, the artwork, animation, was top notch, but other than that...it was horrible. I remember one anime, i rented, where the ninjas, both male/female, would have sex with one another, and who ever had an orgasm first, won the bout...i was like, wtf is this? There practice, was sex, it was...well, if you are into Hentai, I guess its your thing, but I thought it was a sham...

But most of my brothers are into Dragon Ballz big time, my brother sam, is into anime big time, much like you, and a most of the posters on this thread, he must have spent damn near 5,000 grand on anime movies...

My favorite, anime

1. Ninja Scroll
2. Vampire Hunter D
3. Princess Monokoe
4. Akira
5. Ghost in a Shell
6. Tekken the Movie

I would love to get some tekken toys, i am a guru at that game...:)

It would be hard to pick out a top ten, because alot of times new stuff comes out and its like..
OMG this is really good. Agree with Ghost in the Shell, Princess Monokoe, Akira, all really good.
The one everyone is saying is good, I think sucks..thats Gilgamesh. But I have found special ones like
Kino's Journey, Star Ship Operators, Ultra Maniac, Bleach, Azumanga Diaoh, Grave of the Fireflies,
Kiki's Delivery Service, Gravion, Nucca Nucca, Kurami Steel Angels, Angelic Layer, Blood +, Girls Bravo, Boys be, and so many others..

not to sound dumb, but I have no clue, who it is...my next purchase, if i can find it, is a Marvel Legends Juggernaut toy. 32. He's the robot from an old Japanese live-action TV series
called Johnny Sokko and his Flying Robot, although the robot was always referred to as "giant robot" (hence my screen name) and Johnny Sokko was never called Johnny Sokko (his name in the series was something like Oshino or Ohino, iirc).

As I tell the younger folk, that's what old farts like me watched before there were Power Rangers!
