1. No, but can something be done about the Tigers being in first?

2. Actually, that's kind of cool...
It's nice to see a team down on its luck, with a long tradition, getting back on its feet. If only the Pirates and Royals can hit a good luck streak...

3. As a Twins fan
I have a difficult time seeing the Tigers (or the Royals) do well. I hate the White Sox with the heat of 1,000,000 suns. I am so not happy with my team's current standings.

6. At least you're still there...
...after our fuckwit commissioner, and your fuckwit owner, wanted to liquidate them...and thanks from all baseball fans, for your team having such a (relatively) good decade, and shutting the "contractors" up, at least for now.

7. True enough
And the Twins (in the nick of time) just got approved by the state for a new stadium, so they won't be moved or contracted now.

Fuckwit does not even cover the whole description of both the "baseball commissioner" and the Twins' owner.

9. Still--what was so wrong with the good old Homerdome?
Edited on Sun Jun-11-06 11:16 PM by Arkham House
It's not so old, and at least it has its own character--it's *unique*...why was Selig so concerned about a new park, anyway? And I'm afraid "fuckwit" is the limit of my abuse--I'm really a gentleman...but I will say Selig is the worst commissioner any sport has ever had...

10. Many things wrong with the dome
1. When the whole thing was built, someone really messed up with the negotiations, and basically the Vikings get all the concessions receipts for ANYONE using the dome.

2. The sightlines for baseball are all wrong. It does not matter where you sit (unless you are directly behind homeplate), you will spend the entire game craning your neck.

3. The seats themselves, when they built it, they put the rows WAY too close together, so that any average adult sitting in one of the seats practically has their head in their knees.

4. Field Turf

5. Strange rules regarding speakers, roof, and the Baggie in right field.

11. You cannot
call yourself Arkham House and talk about baseball! Cthulhu will not be pleased!

As an alumnus of Miskatonic University, I can assure you all our sports are predatory. Baseball? Sheesh!

Khash.

12. If you were a Red Sox fan, from 1918-2004 you were...
...under the curse of Cthulthu...so I think being a baseball fan was appropriate, at least then, despite the lack of enthusiasm for the game at good old Miskatonic...and to be honest, I wasn't really cur out for the sports they *did* play there...my blood is red, and I wanted it to stay that way. Maybe I should abandon the game after 2004, but it's become a habit...
