5. Everything in moderation
TV isn't bad, it's the shitty programing that's bad.

That being said, a vcr is our best friend. I narrowcast. IOW, I watch what I want to watch (usually on tape so I can skip the ads) and I ignore the rest. That's the way to do all forms of media.

7. I suppose you're right
I watch a bit of tv sometimes myself and I LOVE my vcr. Makes it easy to avoid the worst of the dreck.

Right now, the 3 Tenors are singing holiday music on my local PBS station. Mmm...
