.......my Aunt bought me one last year for my birthday and I FINALLY got a BIG bottle of oil to use in it again...they're rather expensive and the bottles of oil are waaaay overpriced as well but I LOVE MINE regardless as they're better for scenting the air than candles IMHO....my favorite scent to burn in it is New Orleans...when I first got it I was given a bottle of the New Orleans scent and the Amber scent as that's my name and my Aunt thought that I'd like that kind but it's too strong sorta like perfume...I preferred the New Orleans scent...it's a blend of fruity and spicy aromas.

Sooooo anyway I was wondering if anybody else has one of these cool scented oil lamps and what your favorite scents are to burn in them??

on edit...well thought they were pretty popular...eventhough they're French! ;-)

4. The orange scent
and there is a rose combo, I cannot remember the other scent in with it.

It has been so long since I have gotten anything but the orange, I cannot remember. They seem to be coming out with new scents all the time!

13. It's BurgerMeister MeisterBurger...from Santa Claus is Comin' To Town.....
....couldn't find a picture of him dammit!! :D

Inspired by the popular 1934 Christmas song, this is a fanciful tale of how a family of toy maker elves (the Kringles) find baby Kris abandoned on their doorstep and raise him. As a young man, Kris defies the evil Burgermeister of Sombertown and brings forbidden toys to children. Now outlaws, he and his followers retreat to the North Pole for safety . . . and so the legend of Santa is born. The score has some great numbers ("Put One Foot In Front Of the Other" is a catchy standout), and the voices of MGM legends Rooney (as Kris) and Astaire (as the narrator postman, seen in the photo above) lend tremendous charm. Repeated annually, this is especially recommended for kids – adults will enjoy the cast.

6. they are great money-savers
They are a huge fad in all the shops in my area and as I can't tolerate strong odors it makes it quite difficult to spend any money. :-)

9. You have to replace the wick once a year...
and they are expensive. Mine was a gift, I don't think I would have gotten one otherwise.

....since I didn't use it but for only about a month in the last year...do ya think it'd need to be replaced so soon?

12. Never heard of them but you inspired me - so
I did a search at Yahoo, found a retailer and will soon have 2
Lampe Berger lamps - one for a gift and one for me. On your recommendation I requested New Orleans. Boy are they expensive, but I found an inexpensive (?) clear glass lamp that I can live with. THANKS for helping me with Christmas shopping. I'm way behind.

15. I've heard of them.
But personally I find them a bit frivolous and fruity. I mean to each his own if you like that sort of thing more power to you. It's just not my cup of tea.
