Happy Christmas (war Is Over)
So today I decided to put up the tree. I grabbed a bunch of Christmas songs to listen to to keep the ol' spirit alive.
Then John came on, and I thought it would be nice if we started a favorite Christmas song thread and post lyrics in keeping with the season.

Having said that....

So this is Christmas
And what have you done
Another year over
And a new one just begun
Ans so this is Christmas
I hope you have fun
The near and the dear one
The old and the young

A very merry Christmas
And a happy New Year
Let's hope it's a good one
Without any fear
And so this is Christmas
For weak and for strong
For rich and the poor ones
The world is so wrong
And so happy Christmas
For black and for white
For yellow and red ones
Let's stop all the fight
A very merry Christmas
And a happy New Year
Let's hope it's a good one
Without any fear
And so this is Christmas
And what have we done
Another year over
And a new one just begun
Ans so this is Christmas
I hope you have fun
The near and the dear one
The old and the young
A very merry Christmas
And a happy New Year
Let's hope it's a good one
Without any fear
War is over over
If you want it
War is over
Now...

Peace and joy to all my brothers and sisters of the world....

Thinking about that song makes me happy and sad at the same time. Miss you John.

3. I love that song.
Especially John's vocal (great high vocal), and the big Spector Wall Of Sound arrangement.

4. Great song. Another great, and sadder, song for me was ...
Simon & Garfunkle's 7 O'Clock News/Silent Night. It made me weep in Vietnam.
