Do you have a favorite board game?
I love playing Balderdash. We're having friends over one night a week for drinks and games, and it's a total riot. The other week we played one called "the game of Real Life," (it's a parody of the "Game of Life"). It was hilarious. I almost got aborted at the beginning of the game. I totally lost, but I laughed until my face hurt.

1. Scrabble
Because I can win that as long as I'm not drinking. ;)

8. You know when you drink with Friends and play board games...
It's one step from swapping mates and causing a scene and having Dr. Joyce Brothers show up at your door step....

So be careful...

I'm just sayin'....

9. When you drink and play board games with couples....
It's one step from swapping mates and ruining your children's lives...

You don't want Dr. Phil to come down on your ass...

Or end up on the Rikki Lake show...

I'm just sayin'..

Scrable is my favorite board game as an adult. When I was a kid it was Chutes and Ladders and Stratego.

And I thought mine was deleted so I tried to remember what I said...

Short term memory is a problem once you hit a certain age...

6. Risk, of course.
Everyone should have to play at least one game a month.

11. I love Balderdash!
A group of friends played all night many times. Its hilarious if your opponents are clever.

I have another game called Polyglot which can be played in five languages, but can't find anyone to play me. In my salad days though, certain female acquaintances enjoyed playing a particular version (ahem) of polyglot if we didn't have a deck of cards handy. I always did my best to win.

12. Yes
I sand down the edges and corners of a two feet long 2 x 4 and gently spank your butt until your skin starts to turn red.

I always have the greatest ideas!!!

13. I have a group of friends that I've played with for years...
There are the standard like Scatagories (even though thye need new cards 'cause we're gettin' kind of tired of the same ones), Taboo, Scruples, and we still have a lot of fund with Gestures (which is like Charades) I've heard of Balderdash and it sounds great. "Scene it" is fun if it's a small group. I played "Cash Flow" with a small group but it's more for getting educated about money rather than fun.

16. Go
Learned it at the university. It's hard to find opponents.

Chess, Backgammon, Monopoly, Risk, Scrabble are all good but they lack the "purity" of Go.

I mean come on "World Conquest" is the objective - how do you beat that? You get to play at being a Neo-con.
