Mine are too numerous to mention all of them.

The record was Star Trek VI - 6 times

And in about two hours I'll be going to see X-Men 3 for the second time

1. Three Amigos.
Not in the theaters, per se, but I've seen that movie at least 50 times.

(Why yes, I am dating myself! But I was a kid, if that's any help)

We've watched "Tombstone" at home about 10 times

And it was midnight, but I re-ran "Donnie Darko" again immediately after first viewing it. You have to see that movie twice to understand it.

3. The first "Jurassic Park"
It totally blew my mind when I saw the film for the first time. The CGI effects, I thought were amazing. The first time I watched it the film ended, and I went right back to the ticket booth and purchased another ticket for the next show.
I think in total I watched "Jurassic Park" maybe 7 or 8 times when it was in theaters. I didn't see any of its sequels more than twice.

4. Star Wars
the original movie I saw I think 3 times in the theater.

I saw Empire and "Return of the Jedi" twice.

I saw (believe it or not) "Return of the King" twice.

I usually wait until the tape/dvd to rewatch movies.

30. Just three times?
Edited on Sat Jun-03-06 11:06 PM by scoey1953
Back in the days when Star Wars came out, we were so impressed we never left the theatre until it closed. We did that like three days in a row, probably saw STAR WARS 20 times...just to see the opening sequence. Same with the opening scene in Raiders of the Lost Ark.

10. The Empire Strikes Back.
I saw it 13 times in the theater. However, back then you could go to the early matinee and stay all day if you wanted.

I did go seven seperate times to rack up that many viewings of the film though.

11. Never seen a movie in theaters more than once.
And the reason for that is - if I like a movie enough to see it more than once, I'd rather not pay $10 to go see them at the theaters and wait for it on DVD / video, then I can watch it as many times as I want.

17. Do you mean at the cinema?
If so, I can't think of any.

If you mean more generally - all those that I own on D.V.D. or video, a pretty eclectic mix:

Trainspotting,
Team America, World Police,
A Man for all Seasons,
Flash Gordon,
Breakfast at Tiffany's,
Sabrina Fair,
Roman Holiday,
Funny Face,
The Day of the Jackal,
Gone with the Wind,
Brief Encounter,
and several others.

19. I never go to a movie more than one time in the theater.
But I almost only watch movies I have seen before on TV. Two benefits, first, I know I like it already and second, if I get distracted before it is over, or miss a section, at least I know what I missed.

29. I think my record in a theater is Gladiator- maybe 12-13 times
That year it came out, I was having trouble with my roommates, plus I am a film both, so to stop me from beating one of them half to death I would go to the movies all the time. There was this one cineplex, in which, you could go in and sneak to movie to movie. I ended up watching Gladiator for free pretty much all of those times, except for maybe twice.
