Hey Dean supporters, did I miss a memo about Poop Patrol?

I noticed a funny thing going through some of the threads this morning, a few Deaniacs weighing in on the Dean smear threads with the concise response of Poop or Poop on you.

Great job! I don't know who came up with that response but I want to thank Jim Sagle for being the first to express the sentiment. His "This thread ain't nothin' but shit" is a classic!

I think it's meant to be used in those threads that are rehashing the same old Dean smears that have been addressed seriously by Dean supporters for a year now. This response concisely highlights the substance of most of those threads.:)

He did not call you "Goebbels-ian", he pointed out that there is a lot of "Goebbels-ian" attacks being mounted on Dean. If you were offended by that remark then you put yourself in that camp.

and I still do after a good night's sleep though not as much. Here's my issue - I'm really tired of seeing any commentary on Dean that is not effusive and glowing praise labeled Dean bashing by a certain hard-core group of his supporters. I was feeling like I got called a Nazi for not supporting him. And frankly I expect better from Dems than that kind of name-calling, especially about each other.

His comment was clearly targeted at the propaganda threads and posters that are using RW sources to bolster their case. It got locked because the PC police twisted an harsh criticism of a small group with dubious intentions into an attack against Democrats.

24. A lot of it has to do with timing

The "Goebbels" comment came right in the middle of a thread that was full of agitators on both sides as well as those of us who were interested in genuine debate. I felt like we were being tarred with the same brush. It seemed designed to intentionally inflame - which I reckon is why it got locked.

The post came across to me as "ignore everyone who disagrees with us, they're just Nazis". You just can't throw around Nazi references and expect people not to get offended.

This thread makes me sick to my stomach. How anyone could not look at these candidate threads and not see that supporters of ALL the candidates make baseless attacks. Dean supporters are not innocent and neither are Clark supporters.
