Just think about it. No responsibilities. No deadlines. Not being tied down. Being able to go where ever you please. Not working a 9 to 5. Picking up odd jobs for money. When a town gets old just pulling up stakes and taking off.

That shit sounds awesome.

2. Fun for a while,
but speaking from personal experience, it can be a real pisser when you try to settle back down.

3. I hitched out west for a month.
Jackson Hole, Wyoming to The Grand Canyon and around the Four Corners. I had a great time. I only had to sleep on the side of the highway once. Stayed mostly in hostels and campgrounds. It sucked when I was down to my last dollar and the money I had sent to myself was 300 miles away in a Post Office, under my name General Delivery.

6. it stinks
what happens when the cops stop you and take your cash? you are a bum, it must be drug money, it's automatically forfeit, and they don't have to charge you with any crime, much less convict you of any crime

as a bum, they have a license to steal from you under modern forfeiture laws

this happened to a real friend of mine, this ain't no theory, $22,000 his life savings and as he is asperger's (severe) he won't ever get it again

maybe it was cool in the 30s but once ronald reagan got in and basically made it illegal to do anything except have a "real" job it's effed

it stinks

if i had a choice, i'd have a different personality and i'd be a job type not a traveling around find out what's what type

because the modern world, it's hell on that

you'll die 20, 30 years younger just on the inability to buy insurance alone
