I am soooooooooooo out of shape
I took the kid out and towed him around the neighborhood for about an hour in the bike trailer and I'm so tired and sore. Last year with a much heavier trailer I could have gone for quite a bit farther and by the end of the season I had no trouble taking him up steep hills even. However the good news is that I discovered that I can indeed pedal my ass around suburbia and live to tell the tale, which I wasn't entirely sure of.

1. Remember...as a good friend of mine always says...
that's a good kind of pain.

8. Hmph.
The only good thing about it is that it's an excellent excuse for a hot shower and a flexeril before bed.

4. Maybe you stayed up too late last night.
That could contribute to your lack of energy and "out of shape"ness today...

5. I blame you.
It didn't help when the rugrat woke me up at 7, either. Four and a half hours of sleep! :woohoo:

9. I'm out of shape too. You're in better shape than I am.
I rode my bike to work the other day. It is under three miles. I pedaled hard on the way there because I left later than I wanted to leave and needed to get to work on time. I was breathing hard. On the way home, I pedaled slow but the wind was bad and against me the whole way. The whole experience wore me out. I haven't rode my bike to work since.
I mentioned something about being out of shape at work. One of the idiots said "You aren't out of shape because you are really thin. I'm out of shape." He was overweight. I wanted to scream. Being in shape isn't about weight. I was in much better shape when I was at my heaviest.

10. I get that a lot because I'm naturally on the thin side
My body went to shit after I had my kid and wasn't moving refrigerators around at work all day anymore. I'm still adjusting to the fact that I have to put an effort in now instead of getting these things done just in the course of going about my day.

All five-foot-nothin' of ya?

Oh, here — steal this smilie:

I need it today, too, but I can share.

14. yeah, and other appliances
The hardest part was taking those enormous over-the-range microwaves, which are both heavy and really ackward from where they were stored in upstock down a ladder to the sales floor. While pregnant. Enormously pregnant. If I never have to put one of those things on my shoulder again I'll die a happy woman.

11. He grew in a year.
No?

Probably. You're just not used to the extra weight of towing his growing body around. :D Give it five or six times and you'll be used to it.

:applause:

12. Only four pounds or so
And my new trailer is aluminum rather than steel so I'm pulling less weight than last year by quite a bit.
