18. Why, yes, I do.
The Wiley and Excellent Boy Cat Named Ginger is possibly DU's most photographed cat. :)

(Ginger is the one at the top.)

20. Why, he looks so wily and excellent.
;)

About the kitten photo: For some reason I thought Ginger was purebred. But IMNSHO, the non-purebreds are sweeter... like Petey. :7 Sweetie Petey.

22. Hey, I've missed you!
I'm sorry that Ginger misled you to believe he was purebread. He's not. He only _acts_ like it.

I love your sweet Petey, bertha.

24. Ginger's very handsome!
Dumb question, but what kind of cat is he? I've seen the type before, but don't know the name.

26. He looks like a Siamese,
but he's just a regular housecat, not purebred. (He _knows_ he's beautiful, though. ;) )

14. yes, and he refuses to eat solid food EXCEPT boiled chicken torn into
tiny bits. Mary Ann on the left won't eat any solid food except Philly cream cheese. Ginger in the middle has been a Big Girl Good Eater of wet cat food for a week. I guess Mary Ann and Gilligan never want to leave home!

28. You're right. Mary Ann & Gilligan are FINALLY starting to eat solid
Edited on Mon May-29-06 09:54 AM by spooky3
food; Ginger has been a good eater for more than a week. Most kittens I've fostered have nibbled starting some time during the fourth week. I've given them a variety of choices but they're still reluctant. Fortunately, nature seems to be intervening here--Mama is no longer accommodating them every time they want to nurse, so that should encourage MA & Gilligan to be Big Kitties. After all, the sooner they are weaned the sooner they can go to their forever homes. I have a friend who wants a female kitten as a companion for another kitten she adopted several months ago, so I am anxious for the kittens to become adoptable before she finds another kitten she wants instead! I know they will all find great homes as will Mama (who is the smartest kitty I've ever fostered, and quite sweet and friendly too) but I would really like my friend to adopt one of them.
