You know your teams pitching is struggling when...
Your catcher spends more time on the Pitcher's Mound than the starting pitchers!

1. My dear KitchenWitch!
Who's playing tonight?

And why is the fact that the catcher spends more time there significant?

My ignorance is astounding!

3. Mariners at Twins
The catcher goes out to the mound usually to make sure that both cathcher and pitcher are operating under the same signals. If the catcher is going out a lot during the game, it means the pitcher ain't doing so well.

4. Darlin' Peggy!
Kitchey's Twins are playing my Mariners.

And the reason it's significant when the catcher goes to the mound a lot is because that means the pitcher is struggling, and maybe they aren't communicating well or something.

2. Hey Kitchey! You talking about what's going on right now in the 5th?
Don't be too worried though. Felix Hernandez is pitching for the Mariners, which practically guarantees a win for the other team.

And, since the Mariners have the bases loaded, they won't score (they almost ALWAYS screw that situation up!)

6. OMG they sound just like the Twins this year
How can you get the bases loaded with no outs and not score at least one run? The Twins have sure found numerous ways of doing just that.

I must say, Torii Hunter just made a FILTHY catch!

13. This has been a pattern with the Mariners for about the last 3-4
years! You know, if a team wants to be the Mariners, all they have to do is walk the bases loaded EVERY inning. 9 times out of 10, Mariners won't be able to score.

9. Torii is a fabulous outfielder!
Even when a catch by him is a negative for the Mariners, I find myself saying "WOW" at least once every game the Twins play against the Mariners. I knows good catches when I sees 'em!

17. He is pretty much our franchise player
Since we will be getting a new stadium now, I think the purse strings may open to sign him to a multiple year deal...

Without the new stadium, I think he would have been traded, or lost in the free agent market.

Much like Kirby Puckett, I believe he does want to stay here, especially with a new stadium deal in the works.

36. I am surprised people have forgot that the Yankees went through
a decade and a half period from 1981-1996 without making the World Series. For the first 9 years of my life the Orioles and Yankees were making the playoffs at equal rate, the next 9 though blah.

21. I hope you guys resign him
He's a talent and I don't want the Orioles to have to face him 18 times a year. It'd be nice if things were like they used to be where teams developed their own talent and people wonder why I've gone to more to the NFL and root for a team that originally drafted or signed 19/22 of their super bowl starters.

Next year's hall of fame class is going to be great because it will feature two guys who were loyal to their teams and cities, Cal Ripken for the Orioles and Tony Gwynn for the Padres.

Mussina, A-Rod, Sheffield, and Damon. Why would you guys need Hunter anyway?
Damon's a CFer, Sheffield is in Right, and Matsui in left.

Damon has a weak arm so he'll be in RF. Plus Matsui is done for this season if the Yanks trade of an OF for this year.

You need a strong arm to be in right too. If he was to be moved it would be to left. Matsui's contract runs out this year I take it?

there is a site you have to check out being a MN sports fan. It is called homersota.com, it is so funny. It points out how people like Sid Hartman and they guys on KFAN are such homers and really don't live in reality when it comes to Minnesota sports teams. A lot of them won't ever say anything negative. If you want a laugh check it out.
