We sure as hell don't learn anything about anybody, unless it relates to the US directly.

7. First of all it's 'up over' -

The Southern Hemisphere is known as the Upper Hemisphere of Earth in the Galactic Federation.

We learn a lot about American history from your movies and TV shows mainly, eg the school plays about the pilgrims or Abraham Lincoln on The Brady Bunch or Raymond; politics in the Distinguished Gentleman or Legally Blonde 2 etc etc. Also the News Hour with Jim Lehrer is on at 5pm every day on one of our 5 national free-to-air channels (most Australians don't have cable tv but many of your cable shows are shown eg The Daily Show was on for a while).

You guys are the masters of propagating your culture through TV, music, movies, the internets etc.
