In Caracas there is an area called Belles Artes and Parque Central, which includes the arts district and Parque Central (Central Park). There are several museums surrounding a central plaza. Here is a view from inside:

are places in Latin American which look like this.

Your photos are just beautiful. It also doesn't take long to look at the street photo to notice a lot more people there use the buses, and there are FAR more motorcycles and scooters in use, also.

It reminds a person of the massacre in 1989, when the President against whom Hugo Chavez led a coup raised the cost of oil so high that the poor in Venezuela couldn't even afford to ride the buses anymore, and most of them had NO access to cars, either, and they ran into the streets to protest, only to be mowed down by his military. They named the event "El Caracazo."

I couldn't help notice there are trees there unlike anything grown in this country. Amazing, and wonderful. That part of the downtown is so beautiful.

The grafitti is very interesting, also. It looks as if some of them have intense feelings about the way things work there. From what I've seen in films and in reading, it's widespread, too. I hope they are too many for some right-wing U.S. idiot pResident to subjugate to his new regime dreams.
