What are some great actors' worst roles?
My thanks to Faygokid for this idea...We agreed on Laurence Olivier in "Inchon"...a few more that come to mind for me are Clark Gable in "Parnell", Sean Connery in "League of Extraordinary gentleman", Julia Roberts as Tinkerbelle in "Hook", Richard Burton in practically anything, but especially, perhaps, "The Assassination of Trotsky", Ingrid Bergman as Joan of Arc, Humphrey Bogart in "The Return of Dr X"--you haven't lived until you've seen this film...I must be missing lots, let's have some...

4. She may not rank up there with the greats, but I'll tell you who
disappointed me:

Rosalind Chao, in the Lindsey Lohan re-make of "Freaky Friday". Chao played the owner of a Chinese restaurant. No problem there, but she played the character with a "rood you rike flied lice" stereotyped accent that was atrocious. If it was her idea, it was bad; if it was the director's idea, and she went along with it, that's even worse. Rosalind Chao is a fine actress and a beautiful woman, but I lost all patience with her in that role.

7. Paul Newman, Strother Martin, Lee Marvin in "Pocket Money"
what an unbelievable disappointment that one was. Right after the success of "The Sting" and "Butch Cassidy", too.

That is a hat trick, three great actors in the same BOMB of a movie.

25. Even "Chimes at Midnight"?
I know, I know...a controversial film...but I thought it was an inspired performance, and in general, I rather like the later Welles more than some people do...he was pretty good as Wolsey in "Man for all Seasons", too...

Connery in The Avengers...

Brad Pitt in Meet Joe Black...

Clooney in Batman and Robin, he had the potential to be a bad ass batman, but the whole movie was a waste...

Richard Pryor in Superman III, just plain bad casting/story in that one.
