Did he get lost in Edmonton's mini-riot the other night?

1. Work
Edited on Wed May-17-06 12:50 AM by enigmatic
Lots of it; between working at the hotel and doing my show I'm getting about 4 hours of sleep a night. I used to joke about inserting a coffee IV to get me through the days; the damn thing actually freaking works!

If the Oilers do it timorrow night, this town is going to go zonkers...

3. Hey SG!

I'm ok; just tired. And we're in the middle of a heat wave too; ugh.

The Tavern across the street that I always talked about got torched last weekend; I was doing the show at the time. It's a total loss, which is a shame...

How are you?

9. Doing rather well, thanks!
I'm swamped with work too, but I am not complaining, because for awhile there, I didn't have enough and the bank account was hurtin'!!! But I'm a happy girl now with lots and lots of work! :woohoo:

That's a bummer about the tav. A building I used to work in burnt to the ground a couple of years ago -- faulty wiring. First time I drove past the site, it made me feel kind of sad to see only a cement slab where the building used to be.

I'm happy I ran into you! Been missin' you!

4. Hey enigmatic!
 Are you mellllllting?

Was that the place on 124th? That's awful. :-(

I think, either way this town will go nuts, whether the Oilers lose or win. I'm not a hockey fan, so I don't care. :-)

6. Hey u4ic!

Yep; The Grinder. I took a bunch of pictures that night while it was going on; even woke Mrs. E up so she could watch.

I'm dying here; we've got all the fans going and it's still steamy. I think we may break down and get an AC; I have a feeling ut's going to be a sweltering summer...

10. You're definitely a Canuck now
LOL

You're in a walk up, I take it? They are h*ll, unless you're in a basement suite. There was one place I lived in (apartment 13 on 113th St, no kidding) that was consistently 5-7 degrees warmer inside than outside, in the summer. (winter, it was 5-7 degrees colder than what the average temp inside should have been) I couldn't get out of there too soon...it was dreadful (top floor, tar roof/no insulation, faced east, no balcony, and very little wind coming in)

I think the AC is a good investment; I'm going to be getting one, too, when I move out. I can't deal with the heat very well, either...
