I certainly will call you if I am ever in CA again. Though unfortunely, the last three times have been strictly day trips from the east coast. 7:00 am flight out of JFK, and return on the red-eye. Ugh!!

I believe you can get 5 different ones - Black-chinned, Anna's, Costa's, Rufous, and Allen's. The ones we used to get only came in the spring - and boy if I didn't have that feeder out in time, they would hover around the window to let me know. Funny little things.

50. Next time I come to the US

I will probably be travelling through Los Angeles at some point because (1) Los Angeles is the main city of arrival when you come in from my country and (2) because I have a cousin in San Diego with whom I’ll definitely be visiting. Plus I had a nasty experience at LAX the last time when I took a connecting flight (it was immediately after the blackout and it was delayed for several hours and I spent hours in one of their terminals on a hot afternoon without food or water and without the right change to purchase anything from the vending machine -this is after 13 hours of flying from my city to LA) and the only reason that I didn’t visit Los Angeles when I was there because I didn’t know anyone there at the time. I have always wanted to visit Los Angeles and I would particularly love to meet you California Peggy so it would be great to see you next time I am there -you are such an interesting, wonderful, kind and compassionate person
