What do you think of TIAA-CREF? What experiences have you had?

I'm interested to hear what other DUers think about TIAA-CREF. (If you've never heard of them, they manage 401(k) and 403(b) plans, usually for universities and other non-profit organizations.)

What kind of service have you received--good or bad?

How do you feel about the investment performance?

Would you recommend investing with them?

Are they trustworthy?

I applied by mail. There was no hard sell. I just had to pass a physical.
