Simon Posford - pretty much anything he's done, from Hallucinogen (especially Ott's Dub version, "Hallucinogen in Dub") to the Eclipse concept album. (Eclipse: a Journey of Permanence and Impermanence). Shpongle, too.

DJ Shadow. Tosca. The Infinity Project. NIN. Doof.

Gotta second Tangerine Dream. Rubycon is an all-time favorite.

Also Robbie Robertson, oddly enough. He's done some great trance stuff.
