I met Geniph and Johnnyawl last weekend!

Hi everyone,

You know 'em, you love 'em, it's Geniph and Johnnyawl! They came to the cat show Oscar was at last weekend.

We were thrilled to meet them! What nice people. We did our best to stay away from the F*eekers as well. We talked cats (and a little politics with Johnny.)

1. I LOVE Geni and Johyawl!!

We hung out a few times, and even went to each other's houses! I can't praise them enough. Geni will have to tell you about the time she twisted her ankle outside a pizza joint, and later threw a fan at my cat! :o

Talking history with John is always a pleasure - he knows the same stuff I do, which is either frightening or reassuring. As for Geni, she shares my acerbic wit and colorful penchant for metaphors about the Repubs.

Lessee - we've met: ZombyWoof, of course, Kade Carrion, Aristus, JulieRB and her cat Oscar, who is an honorary DU'er, LisaM, AmyStrange, and two other people whose names and DU nicks escape me.

There's about a zillion other DU'ers in this area, but we haven't managed to meet up yet. Note the YET.

Julie's cat is a big beautiful bundle of kitten sweetness. He's a big scaredy-cat, too, which is always funny in the great big males who look so feral. :D

It is funny, isn't it? When he's at home, he's Mr. Pounce and Flatten. Get him in the show hall, though, and he's not so suuuuuure about anything. (Well, he'd like to get back in the carrier and go home!)

We finally got him to relax on Sunday. After the appropriate amount of petting and kisses, he decided it Wasn't So Bad.

It was so great to meet you and Johnyawl; we hope that we'll see you again soon!
