FUCKING ROCK!

I'm so pumped for this show, and Lucinda Fn Williams is the opening act. I'm kind of bummed because Wilco and the Flaming Lips are opening for Neil on other dates on this tour, but Lucinda rules too, so I'm not too disappointed.

Although I am wary, because Neil's doing this weird Greenville concept thing at some of the concerts and shying away from the rocking out with the Horse bit. Hopefully that won't be the case this time.

Aaaand Radiohead at Red Rocks at the end of August! I'm gonna go for sure this year, and I'm going to see if I can't get the new girl at work to go with me. I'm just wondering if its presumptious of me to ask her to come to a concert with me when I just met her about a week ago.

1. Have fun!
Saw them together in Atlanta. Fantastic evening.
Keep an eye out for Flaming Lips headlining on their own while Lucinda is opening on this leg. I saw the Lips in April at the 40Watt (probably the smallest venue they've played this year) and it really was one of the best shows I've ever seen.

2. Greendale rocks!
I was nervous about the concept thing, too, but it totally rocks. It's perfect for Crazy Horse, it's just amazing. You will love it, I promise! Awesome songs, best he's written in years. Plus he also did over an hour of straight up Crazy Horse rock-n-roll at the end. Amazing. Promise me you'll post after the show and tell me how much you liked Greendale, it's the coolest.

Also Lucinda was great. She started out kind of mellow but ended up with about 4 rocking songs in a row. Her guitarist Doug Pettibone is fantastic.

Out here, Wilco is opening for REM in Sept, would love to see them open for Neil.

Have a great time!

3. enjoy it!
Neil is still the single loudest guitarist I have ever seen. "Greendale" will be a great show, but some small part of me wishes you were just seeing a regular Neil/Crazy Horse show. Of course, if it were "regular", it wouldn't be Neil.

4. Only thing about Greendale, get close or bring binoculars
A buddy went to the DC show and enjoyed the familiar encores, but wasn't close enough to follow the storyline of Greendale.

As to the young woman, of course ask.

5. Well, the concert is at Red Rocks, and its festival seating, so I should
be ok.

6. Hey Zombie, how was it?
Are you around? Give a shout, let us know what you thought of Greendale. I loved it so much. Crazy Horse rocks.
