Did anyone else watch the season finale of "My Name Is Earl"?
Best show on TV.

It was kind of a "Superman without his powers" episode. Earl thought that karma didn't want him to have his lottery winnings, so he gave it to some guy he thought really deserved it. Now he and Randy had to figure out how to live karmically with no resources and no life skills to speak of.

It's amazing to find a show this consistently good on network TV that hasn't been dumbed down to the point of unwatchability.

2. Total agreement
My personal favorite tonight was when Randy reported eating a peanut that turned out to be an old moth. "How'd it taste?" asked Earl. Randy replied, "Mothy."

I'm still laughing my ass off.

5. sometimes he says something that is smart. I liked when he was
going to be intitiated into the college Fraternity and when they told him to bend over to be paddled, he says "but why would you hit me when we're supposed to be friends". The rest of that scene cracks me up just thinking about it.

8. Great episode - The Professor
CUT TO – Frat House. The initiation is taking place. Randy and fellow pledges are standing in a row, in front of the brothers who are holding wooden paddles.

Frat guy: Assume the positions. (the pledges turn around and bend over except for Randy)

Randy: you want me to bend over so you can smack me with that paddle?

Frat guy: yeah.

Randy: look I like drinking and I love riding tricycles but if someone hits me with a paddle I’m gonna knock them on their ass. I thought we were friends.

Frat guy: we are. But the older brothers did it to us when we were pledges. So now it’s out turn to torture somebody.

Randy: well if you want to get someone back why don’t you paddle the guy who paddled you? Not some poor guy who hasn’t done anything to anyone.

(All the brothers consider this and start hitting each other. Randy drinks his beer while he and the other pledges watch on.)

Earl: (v.o) Randy never thought he’d be so satisfied watching guys spank each other on the ass. But as it turns out he was.

7. Loved Catalina's "rant" to Joy
She did it once before. She's rattling off Spanish but is actually thanking the Latino audience who can understand her and then thanks non Latinos for learning another language. Joy's response was, "I'm sorry. I don't speak maid!"

Tonight she said something about being happy with the first season and that they will be back in the Fall.

I love the inside stuff.

13. I turned to it at 9pm and it had already been playing for 20 minutes
It seems the network somehow screwed up the shows. I was so bummed.

14. Last night, they played three shows at 40 minutes each.
The next to last-ever "Will and Grace", followed by the season finales of "Earl" and "The Office".

15. Totally agree!
"Wakey, wakey, hands off snakey!" LOL

It's great writing and is endearing to boot. It's on my short list of shows that can't be missed. :)

NC just got an education lottery (yeah, we're TRYING to pull out of the Dark Ages!), and my husband and I joke that when we get lottery tickets, we're going to get "a lotto scratcher and a tall boy." LOL!
