My dog has really, really long hair. If there's a storm out and he needs to go, he wears the rain gear. It makes life soooo much easier. For the record, though, that's all the clothing he's got. I don't dress my dog in little hats, sweaters, or whatever the hell else people buy for their dogs. I'm OK with the slicker, though, because it's utilitarian.
