Please list evil computer corporations.
My friends and I came up with a crazy idea for a computer game: a parody of first-person shooters where you storm computer corporations in a vengeful frenzy for the havoc they wreaked upon your world. (:grr:) So far, what we've decided on are Alias and Epic, the makers of Maya and Unreal, the two applications we see far too much of and have grown to hate. So, we're going to destroy their developers. Of course, Microsoft is the final level and Bill Gates, the penultimate boss (the ultimate boss is our classes professor, who is the man behind Gates with a voice like the Polish Richard Nixon, yeah, guess who's going to be doing the voice for him :D)

But anyway, we need more corporations to be destroyed. Who would you like to see demolished on screen?

1. Apple
They would be just as evil as Microsoft, if only they had the means (i.e. a monopoly).

Sony, not technically a computer corporation, but responsible for much computer evil, particularly their DRM rootkits that appeared on some of their CDs. Okay, that's Sony BMG to be precise.

Intuit Software, makers of the accounting program Quicken are pretty evil too I hear.

That's evil in the nerd sense...as in frustrating.

I use a Mac, BTW, but I'd have no problem making Apple headquarters a level in this game. Parody is the order of the day. :)

6. When the professor doesn't know how to use it
and the only way to get through the class is to take an additional class with a different professor who knows what he's talking about with the result that you spend a good 30 hours a week on Maya for both classes only to find out that for the first class you have to export your work to Unreal but Maya totally falls flat on its export capabilities so you have to download a plugin but it won't install on the school servers so you somehow have to find a bootleg copy to use at home because Maya costs thousands of dollars? FUCK Yeah! :nuke:

Edited on Wed May-03-06 03:52 PM by HypnoToad
Hey - they all say that people playing computer games is why they offshore.

And it's a waste of energy anyway... there are better ways to entertain one's self.

Less damaging on the nerves too - carpal tunnel, et al.

Well, stop selling the games or get the government to grow a spine and stop these corporate filthfuckers from rotting our budding youth.

Duh.

20. Meh...we'll probably put them in there anyway.
Apple's tech support is worthless unless you actually go to an Apple Store. It's so much better to get a care plan through an independent retailer.

21. Computer Associates.
Big, evil, and strangely a low media profile, even with all the investigations.
