Mine had to do a walkabout for each new place. :hi:

Is it a high rise, character building...?

6. Hi!!!
she's boarding at the vet's for a few days, I pick her up tomorrow. :(

It's not a home yet without Murphee....I missed her greeting me when I put my key in the door!! Haven't figured out where her cage will be yet.

It's a character 3 story walkup. Hardwood floors, OLD windows, but a frost free fridge!!! :D Close to a Safeway, Chicken Delight AND a Chicken Chef! ;) within close walking distance of a 7-11 (slurpees)

Got HUGE windows to cover in the living room, 8.5 feet wide by about 5 feet high(?)
Just getting used to being here yet.

10. LOL Winnipeg, slurpee capital of the world
who woulda thunk it?

Your place sounds beautiful! I love those old buildings. 1930's/40's? Does it have a balcony?

I looked at one here oncethat didn't have any closets! It was very bizarre - but a beautiful place. The biggest kitchen I'd ever seen in a walk up. We didn't take it because of timing of its availability. I would have loved to live there, however.

Oh, don't tell me you didn't have a frost free fridge before? Ugh...I had one of those a few years ago. Luckily, I was good friends with the landlady, and when someone moved out, she promptly put their frost free fridge in my place. :D

We don't have Chicken Delight or Chef here...

I love moving...well, getting into the new place. The actual physical move...not so much. I love being in a new space, rearranging furniture, etc. I have 2 to look forward to within a year. :scared:

Have fun!

11. Very observant!
You know about Winnipeg's reputation? I just LOVE slurpees...I used to live in this neighbourhood and one of my after work rituals was to pick up a slurpee on the way home. :D

No, no balcony, I'm in the basement suite. :) thing is with this building you can see in this little open closet the pipes running upstairs....you can hear the whoosh thru the pipes whenever anybody runs water upstairs. :)

Got loads of offers from family to give me items if I need them for the apartment. I'll see. :) Life is getting better, and it's spring. ;)

19. I remember the factoid from Midday
remember Midday on CBC? I loved that program, watched it for years.

That's one heck of a window for a basement suite! Are the water sounds annoying?

SPRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRING!!!!!:bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

(though today was cold, and the wind nearly blew my car off the road. 24 Saturday, today was 3 or 4, tops x( )

22. Revised window measurement
8.5 feet wide by about 4 feet high.....

no, the water sounds aren't annoying, it's like probably any 2 story house, when somebody flushes, you hear some water. ;)

Too bad about the cold in Edmonton, it's actually been quite nice here, little bit of rain over the last couple of days, but that just freshens things up. :)

18. Yes, thats the place
Expensive but worth it. Oh god, the bras I've had from that place, I'm swooning just thinking about it. Fabulous. Gorgeous. Perfect. Great staff, helpful fittings, gorgeous undergarments for chicks with teeny tiny to gargantuan chests.

LOVE LOVE LOVE it. hahaha I'm gushing.

The other day at work, one of my under wires snapped and was poking me in the ribs all day x(
