Poll question: Casino or a movie?
I've got the day off today and I feel like heading down to the casino. The mom part of my brain is telling me to can the idea and to go see a nice movie instead. What would you do?

2. Black Jack and Three Card Poker are my games
Every once in a while I'll throw a few dollars into a slot machine. I won about $600 playing three card poker the last time I went to the casino. I went for a long period of time playing black jack exclusively. I think I've come out even over the long haul. I've had some big nights, but I've also lost a big chunk as well. It's very exciting though.

4. Thanks Peggy
That is definitely the wiser choice. It's not the exciting choice, though.

5. "the mom part of my brain"

Just for that excellent turn of phrase, the Uncle Richardo part of your brain says "Go to the casino!" :patriot:

6. I bet you were the type of uncle
who taught your nephew how to cuss and drink beer. I may have to have a beer to get mom to quiet down.

8. I'll take that as an "other" option
Problem is that I have to be ready to drive about 500 miles tomorrow morning.

10. I'd see a movie
I have zero interest in ever going to a casino. Rather see the movie.

13. Depends on whether you smoke
the last time we went to a casino I smelled cigarettes for days. Casinos are the last refuge of the smoker.

15. Many of the movie theaters in Vegas are INSIDE casinos
One-stop shopping, and all.

I'd choose a movie, though, any day of the week. I mean, I would if they weren't up to $30 admission now, or whatever it is. My odds of retaining my paycheck are probably better in the casino.

I basically just go to casinos now, apart from work that requires me to be inside, to parlay lots of one dollar bills into currency a little more portable, at the cashier cage.
