Can I vent? Grrr...Asshole boss!!
I'm working from home on a proposal for my asshole, procrastinating boss, and when I called him at home to ask him a question, the fuck head yells at me and says I'm "giving him shit". WTF?

I have to vent, sorry. I do marketing for a small architecture firm, and I've been here for going on 7 years in August. I'm the only one who does marketing (production-wise) for the firm. I gave my boss this request for proposal package on the 10th of April, and on Thursday, he says, "Let's do it." It's due on this Tues. For anyone who doesn't know, putting together these documents can be very laborious. It takes coordination with consultants (no engineers in-house) to get them to get you their info. on time (and it must be correct on top of that). To do a thorough job, it takes a good week; he wants me to do this in two days.

I busted ass yesterday to get as much done as I could, and emailed myself files home so I wouldn't have to go in this weekend (he said, "Wanna come in and join me on Sunday?" I said I have all the software I need at home; plus, I need to conserve my gas.). I got up this morning, and started working on this thing around noon. About 3:30, I called him as I had a concern about one of the sections. He started to bitch at me, saying I called at the worst possible time (did I tell him to pick up the phone?), as he had just been working in the yard, etc. I told him I do not have a crystal ball (said I should get one. Ha ha ha.), and I don't exactly enjoy spending my weekend doing his work. After all, he is the one who decided to pursue this project at the last minute after sitting on it for over 2 weeks.

I told him he does not appreciate me. He didn't say anything after that. He said I was "giving him shit" when we started to discuss this one section of the proposal. He was getting flustered. I think something is seriously wrong w/ this guy. Well, maybe something is seriously wrong w/ me for staying at this job for this long. Plus, the last raise we got was over a year ago, and that was only because someone left and bitched about it.

I left him a message a while ago for him to call me. I think he owes me an apology (good luck, right), and I want him to understand how pissed off he made me.

2. Yup. I just called him and told him he owed me an apology.
He refused. Fuck head. He said I get under his skin, and I said he does the same w/ me. When he mentioned again that I called at a bad time, I said I didn't tell him to pick up the phone. He said he always feels like he has to hold everyone's hand in the office. I said he must not be talking about me, but if there are other people he's talking about, well, that's between him and the other partner to deal with. I told him I feel taken for granted, and I'm probably blowing his mind by being so honest and up front with him. He said he did actually appreciate me a lot more than a lot of the people who have worked for him. Funny way of showing it.

3. Architects. Notorious assholes and procrastinators.
And they believe their own publicity too much.
