Poll question: I have made THREE calls to my landlord to schedule an exit inspection.
My lease is up Sunday.

I'm going there tonight to finish vacuuming. That's the last of it.

My sin-laws are coming in this weekend. I will have some time Saturday afternoon to do an exit inspection. That's really it until Monday (although I might be able to do something Sunday if it's that or nothing).

My landlord hasn't called back AT ALL.

What's gonna happen?

1. Take pictures and/or videos of every nook and cranny before you leave

3. I second this
Leave one set of pictures with the key, and keep a set for yourself.

I hope you get your security deposit back. That sucks.

Chances are you won't ever see the landlord again though.

5. Make sure the video is dated, and/or include a shot of today's paper
with the date showing.

That's sort of what happened to me a few years ago. I did everything I was supposed to do but they never called me back. I told them I would be there at a certain time and it was the only day that I could be there and they never showed up. So I left my key on the kitchen counter and left. About 3 weeks later I got a court summons. They said they couldn't get in and thought I had skipped out. Both statements were BS. I had copies of the moveout notice I sent them and they had a key because they were always coming in and fixing stuff. Ended up in arbitration and it was decided that I would forfeit my security deposit but they wouldn't get the back rent they said I owed. Only good thing about was my security deposit was $200 instead of a full month's rent.

That's been almost 6 years ago and to this day I warn people away from that company.

4. UPDATE: He said send him the key, and he'll send me my deposit in full.
Let's see if he follows through.

6. I'd still take pictures for your file.
Cover your ass.

7. Of course.
I'll have to pick up a disposable camera (my digital's with my SO, on assignment, today), and I'll forage for today's paper, but I won't even bother to develop the film unless I have trouble.
