Post your favorite (mostly harmless) childish shenanigans here
Edited on Mon Dec-08-03 01:19 AM by Wonk
Once, I hacked (sort of / kind of) an NTN trivia console system because I knew one of the other players in the bar (not exactly a friend) who I knew to be having an affair with someone whose last name was Shingles (I'm not sure if it was spelled that way but that's how it was pronounced). It was a fairly trivial hack, but absolutely hilarious, imho. I used my console to change my own console ID number to be the same as theirs, and then proceeded to change the login name for that ID to "Roofer" while they were playing. I then changed my console ID back to what it was originally and kept on playing under my login name. It took a few minutes for them to realize their name had changed, but when they did they absolutely freaked out.

Any other fun stories of (mostly harmless) childish shenanigans to share?

1. Once some friends and I
tried to steal a machine gun from a museum in Yonkers.

A real machine gun, not one of those sissy sten guns or tommy guns.

tripod and ammo belt and everything.

One of the gang was in a trade and tech school and had all the specs to replace the parts destroyed when the gun came back from the big war. (That's WWII, not Grenada like the Ronnie Raygun fans think)

Another guy jumped out the burglar alarm and we were on our way to hoist the thing when the Yonkers PD busted most of the group for other things. I slid through it without a touch, but it taught me a very good lesson.

Don't try to pull a burglary with kids who are already in trouble.

4. Many childish shenanigans litter my past...
I'm still amused by the time me and a buddy got into the dorm room of they guys across the hall and hemmed all their jeans upward two inches. No cutting, just a bit of stitchery, so it could be undone. But not before they pretty much had to go to class wearing highwater pants (and sporting raging hangovers, but that part wasn't our fault).

5. I heckled a woman on a discussion board
and learned why it's a dumb idea to heckle someone on a discussion board. She fixated on me and stalked me for a couple months. I'm so glad I didn't actually do anything to her.
