Question for the ladies...
What facial hair do you prefer on guys, if any?

1. Clean shaven or full beard and mustache. I think mustaches alone
make one look like a used car salesman...okay, correction, I think they make my husband look like a used car salesmand. :)

5. LOL about your husband
Edited on Sun Dec-07-03 10:26 PM by populistmom
While I think some men can look really good in just a mustache alone, I've told my husband he looks like the character "Schneider" from the old 70's show One Day at a Time in a mustache alone (he really does and it's frightening). On him, I find it disturbing alone, but he looks fine if it's with a beard or goatee.
Overall, though, I'm open to whatever, except for the Amish beard and no mustache thing. That kind of turns me off. Oh, and a ZZ Top type of beard would be a bit much as well.

25. I agree about the mustache ...
I think it makes guys look creepy ... I've never seen a guy with a mustache that's looked cool ...

I'm also not fond of full beards ... reminds me of wood-cutters for some reason ...

Pretty much any other variation of facial hair will work :-)

27. Moustaches look really '70s to me
Other than that, I like either the clean-shaven look or a neatly trimmed full beard.

Maybe it's a generational thing, but I think that goatees and soul patches make just about any man look ugly.

3. Mine has had a full beard the whole time
I have known him and that's been over thirty years. I have no objection. I think it's his choice as to how he wants to ornament himself, dress and wear his fur.

13. Generally like em fuzzy...
My fiance is clean-shaven (most of the time, sigh) because when his beard grows in, there's too much white in it for him. Unfortunately, he's got what he refers to as "Nixon face," so he's almost always stubbly (and ever since he said that, I've had to restrain myself from wandering around singing "Nixy face! You've got the cutest little nixy face!" -- he HATES that!). I *hate* stubbly faces more than he hates my singing that song!

However, just about every guy I'm attracted to looks better with a beard than otherwise. :)

17. Definitely clean-shaven, or the couple of days growth
I've never liked beards at all; moustaches, it depends. However, a couple of guys I know who I find attractive have grown goatees in recent years, and I do still find them attractive. I'm just not as likely to take interest in a guy right away when he's bearded.

18. I love almost any as long as its short
As long as he is smart, witty and altogether attractive, facial hair is no big deal. I love to kiss a man with a few wiskers because I like the way it tickles. If I'm attracted to someone with no facial hair, that's ok too.

mustache and beard since then your face is infringing on my eyes' rights :-)

21. As my husband has a full beard, moustache, and sideburns,
that is what I like at the moment. I don't mind clean-shaven though. I tell my husband he's starting to look like Hagrid from Harry Potter.

22. soul patch. ymmmmm
or a van dyke, or even a CLOSELY cropped beard...none of that ZZTop-ish or anywhere near thing is attractive to me.

...and none of the above is also fine, but I do think all of the above are scrumptious to see and feel.

but those one or two day scratchy things hurt!

28. all or nothing
either full beard and moustache or clean shaven. One or the other. My personal preference is for a man with a short-trimmed full beard and moustache. But if you've gotta shave, go ahead and shave your whole face. Not too many guys look their best with a goatee, or with just a moustache and no beard. JMO.

30. husband has had both...
Sometimes a change can be sexy... makes you look at the person differently. Currently he has a Van Dyke beard... lots of middle -aged men seem to have those as their hair recedes. I like that look better than the bald head thing. I also like goatees and long hair...

31. I like anything from clean-shaven to full beard and stash...on my hubby
I like the stash at least, and either goatee or full beard, he looks great either way.
Not everyone can pull it off though, it's kind of an individual thing.
