If you were in debt, would you summarily quit a job?

But would you quit sooner, even if you had nothing to replace it with?

At what price does sanity mean more?

Future prospects? I'm in IT, therefore the word "none" is viable.

I have numerous other talent, mostly in the visual arts (interior design, photography, some graphic design), but that's art and soulful and therefore a sin in our society.

your art must be an outlet, yeah? So submit the portfolio somewhere...anywhere!

IT is becoming a dead end... despite my experience, other work has not shown up. Must've fuckled up on the resume. Meh. Which is probably a good thing; maybe I'm tired of what I am currently doing. And I'd rather do something I enjoy.

The book BTW was written by Derek Humphry. I'm not proud to have read it. But, worst case scenario, I deserve nothing less than painless. But before you freak out, I am attempting ways to better communicate with people on a business level. Survival and prospering means more to me. And as I am alone, I have a better chance of achieving it. I don't want - or need - other people in my life. Okay, that's a lie but I must make it the truth or be condemned to eternal heartbreak. And DUers are undoubtedly tired of hearing my whines and rants on that. :)

I'm over 30k in debt, and out of work for over a year, doing small part-time work when i can get it...

and i'm also in a field where there are less and less jobs to go around (media)

so no, never leave money on the table no matter how bleak the situation looks

Do not give them the satisfaction of getting rid of you for free. Settle your scores at the time of your choosing, not theirs. If they're going to get rid of you, let them cough up a severance package. Meanwhile, keep searching for another (better) job.

4. Yes.

Always leave if you are in the wrong place. Always get rid of things in your life that don't fit. You will never be in the right place if you don't leave the wrong place. You will never have the right things in your life if you don't make room for them.

If you live this way, you will get out of debt sooner than if you remain in situations that don't work for you.

keep the job and keep paying down the debt, don't let buttheads game you out of your plan

you will not be more relaxed and more sane jobless than you are with job

there is no such world as no stress or low stress, everybody i know who quit their job to get away from stress is v. v. sorry but only the v. lucky ones were able to get their old jobs back

being poor is much worse of a stress than just being shit on at the job because being poor means you really aren't allowed to survive in a crisis
