these threads in GD are often funny. Someone posts a serious question in GD, then notifies her friends here in the lounge. From experience I expect that the GD post will garner both honest and comedic responses. The honest ones sometimes start insane flame wars. It is funny how easy it is when the first post was fairly simple and innocuous.

Whether you enjoy the flame wars that result from simple postings in GD is your choice. Those of us that enjoy the results of a simple comment and its responses can choose to enjoy it.If you don;t just read the thread and offer your opinion.

Ava was called a racist and asked a valid question. If it caused some people to go off on a tangent and I can enjoy watching the tangent, why do you care. If Ava got her question answered and is engaging in meaningful discussions with some posters while enjoying the flame war others have taken her thread to, who the hell are you to judge it.

I made a post in GD today and was hit pretty hard. Sometimes a thread which raises a serious question can turn into a flame war.

Also, I think it was a valid question. The only thing I find reprehensible is your assumption that Ava posted the thread in jest.
